I want to welcome you to my blog. I am parent and experienced early education teacher and want to share my experiences with you on how to survive the early years of parenting.
Often I hear parents say they are lost or feel they just don’t know what to do and this is very normal. Unlike that new car in the driveway or the latest upgrade on your cell phone, a new baby does NOT come with an owners manual. So congratulations, you need to learn on the go. I have found humor some days is the best way to make it though these trying days. All to often I find myself telling new parents, “this to shall pass” and it always does.
Remember if you have one or several children, you can never compare them even if they come from the same gene pool or are twins. No two children are the same. So please enjoy my blog, I will try to post survival tips and will answer you questions. Think of me as that voice you need to get up at 3am to calm your crying baby knowing full well we need to be awake and at work in 4 hours.
Tip of the day, listen to your baby’s cry, is it a hunger cry, tired cry, board (hay I want to play or need something new to look at) or are they just crying to hear themselves? Think about the type of cry and have fun being a parent, you will never get these years back. PEACE…
